Panic Disorder Cycle - Break The Panic Disorder Cycle- Knowledge To Cure Panic Attacks Forever!

from:

Panic Disorder Cycle is the term doctors use to describe
the cycle of events that lead to panic attacks that just keep
coming back.

Remarkably, understanding how the panic disorder cycle
works is the single most important step you can take in
recovering from panic attacks that just don't want to go away.

Understanding the panic disorder cycle sounds like a
simple exercise. And on paper it probably is as there are only
three major steps to it! However, true understanding of the
panic attack cycle means a panic attack sufferer has to apply
the phases to their own circumstances and actually confront the
situations that are triggering such distress.

The phases of the panic disorder cycle are:

1. Anxiety.

The person suffering the panic attacks becomes anxious about
being placed in certain situations or circumstances that have
triggered a panic attack before. This anxiety builds until the
person becomes gripped by fear.

2. Fear.

The second phase of the panic disorder cycle involves
the development of a strong fear, often dread, that a panic
attack will develop. This fear can often become immobilising,
with panic disorder sufferers often not wanting to leave the
safety of their own homes in case a panic attack happens.

They become afraid for their own safety and terrified they
could hurt themselves if they were, for example out driving and
unable to control the onset of an attack.

3. Panic Attack Strikes

The third phase of the panic disorder cycle involves
the onset of a fully developed panic attack. Panic attack
symptoms are often so severe they mimic serious medical
conditions such as heart attack when they first appear.

These symptoms include heart palpitations and sometimes chest
pain, dizziness, rapid breathing, nausea and in almost all cases
an incredible feeling of dread.

Once the panic attack subsides, the person suffering the
attacks gets little respite. The truth about the panic
disorder cycle
is that it has to be totally broken before
panic attacks stop happening.

Modern medicine usually tries to break the panic disorder
cycle
by using a two pronged approach to treatment. This
approach uses a combination of drugs ( often strong anti
depressants) and a form of psycho therapy known as CBT
(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and is used over and extended
period of time.

Some of the drawbacks to this approach can be that the drugs can
be toxic and have some nasty side effects that include
depression, aggression, fatigue, hallucinations and sometimes
drug dependence. Also the therapy sessions are spaced, with an
average of 8 to 15 sessions needed to see some results in
breaking the panic disorder cycle.

Alternatively, there is a more natural approach towards the
treatment of panic disorder that teaches what is essentially a
"Step Back" mechanism to break the panic disorder cycle.

The most successful of these natural approach programs is known
simply as "Panic Away", a self help treatment that has been
available to sufferers of panic attacks and panic disorder for
over seven years.

In that time the "Panic Away" Program has been proven to help
thousands of people overcome panic disorder, returning to living
a normal lifestyle free of anxiety and cured of panic attacks.
